An old mill town's roofs
Acton grew up around the tannery and the mill, and the housing follows: a compact older core off Mill Street and Main Street with narrow lots, steep pitches and a lot of shared-boundary access problems, then post-war and 1970s expansion, then newer subdivision growth on the edges. Three vintages, three sets of problems.
